This new boot provides three key new upgrades tech-wise, all designed to enhance the feel and touch for players; SensePods, TouchPods and SoftStuds. Let’s dive in and understand these new advantages.
adidas dedicated time and research to understand where the foot most contacts the ball. Modifying the soleplate the strategically placed SENSEPODS are designed to minimize and remove space around the achilles and ankle. To do so they inserted foam elements inside of the heel to help close the gap and unify the foot with the boot.
TOUCHPODS are placed on both the medial and lateral sides of the shoe to help absorb impact at the most impacted positions of the boot with the ball.
Lastly, SOFTSTUDS are two studs placed at the forefoot injected with a softer material, so they bend upon impact with the ball.
One of their most advanced technologies featured in the boot is FUSIONSKIN, a material that moulds to the shape of the foot. Fusionskin is made from a material the welds leather and PRIMEKNIT together to help reduce water absorption and enhances flexibility.
